Questions parents ask
What age should my child start?
Preschool takes children from age 2 through 6. Abacus and Rubik's Cube start at 6 and run to 14 — that's the window where mental calculation and spatial reasoning develop fastest. If your child is close to a boundary, talk to your nearest centre; they'll assess and place accordingly.
How much practice does my child need to do at home?
About ten minutes a day for Abacus and Rubik's Cube, through the practice app. Preschool is built around hands-on kits we send home, so it's activity time rather than screen time — and we cap screen time at 30 minutes.
Why teach Abacus and Rubik's Cube together?
They train complementary things. Abacus builds mental calculation, working memory, and sustained concentration. The cube builds spatial reasoning, sequencing, and the patience to work through a problem in steps. Taught together over the 6–14 years, they reinforce each other — and children find the mix far more engaging than either alone.
Are classes online or at a centre?
Classes are in person at a Unigoal centre, with an instructor. The apps are for daily practice between classes and for parents to follow progress — they don't replace the teacher.
